In this verse, Allah (swt) tells us that He created us in pairs so that we can be a source of love and comfort for each other.
In another verse, Allah (SWT) Says,
“They (wives) are clothing for you and you are clothing for them” (Al-Baqarah-187)

Narrated Abdullah: He said, we were with the Prophet (ﷺ) while we were young and had no wealth whatever.
“So Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “O young people! Whoever among you able to marry, they should marry, because it helps him lower his gaze and guard his modesty, and whoever is not able to marry, should fast, as fasting diminishes his sexual power.”
(Bukhari, Chapter – Titabun-Nikah)

- Perform wadu.
- Perform two cycles (raka’) Salah.
- Praise to Allah.
- Recite Darood upon the Prophet.
- Recite Dua of istikhara.
Transliteration:
Translation:
O, Allah! I seek help from Your knowledge, And I seek ability from Your Might and I ask for Your great mercy. You are able and I am not able. You know and I don’t know and You know all the unseen.
O, Allah! If You know that this Marriage is good for my religion and my subsistence also, Then You ordain it for me and make it easy for me to get, And then bless me in it,
and if You know that this Marriage is dangerous to me In my religion and subsistence also, Then keep it down from me and let me be down from it. And whatever is good for me ordain for me, And make me satisfied with that). (Sahi Bukhari-1093)
